I bought a bunch of vintage coat hangers from Ebay, and decided to fancy them up with some bits and bobs. The coat hangers I bought were already covered, but you could easily cover a wooden hanger with some pretty fabric before.
It's so easy, just tie a bow here and there, and stitch a flower on. I used some beads, and even some star studs! My clothes are happy they have co-ordinating hangers to hang prettily on now.
